Each Wednesday night from September to mid-May, Beckley Regular Baptist Church has a youth ministry called AWANA. It is a club-structured program for children from 3 years old through 6th grade. Bible-centered literature and memorization of God's Word highlights the ministry. The AWANA name is an acronym for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from the Bible verse II Timothy 2:15.
The primary ministry objective is to reach boys and girls in the local community and to bring them into AWANA Club program where they will hear the gospel of the grace of God and have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. In addition, children are trained and taught basic Bible doctrines along with principles of good citizenship to make them better citizens and to enhance their Christian life.

The club night is Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. There are three basic segments:
- Game Time: Children participate in games designed to promote fun, competition, and sportsmanship.
- Handbook Time: Handbooks contain Bible verses that are memorized and recited to an AWANA leader. Completion of sections within the handbook and the completion of a handbook brings awards to the children.
- Council Time: The most serious, structured segments with announcements, song time, award presentations, and a message from God's Word.
