Doctrinal Statement

What We Believe, in brief format:

God's Word

We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God, and our guide to faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21)

 1. We believe in one God, existing in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

2. We believe Jesus Christ to be true God and true man - conceived of the Holy Spirit - born of a virgin- revealing God - redeeming all who repent of their sin and trust in His death, burial, and resurrection, the cleansing of His blood, as the only means of forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Salvation is by God's grace through faith, and can not be attained through any measure of work by man. (Luke 1:35; John 1:1; Ephesians 2:8-9)

3. We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, now permanently indwells every believer upon the moment of salvation and desires to fill them through His guidance. (I Corinthians 12; Romans 8)

Future Events

We believe in the personal, premillenial, pretribulational, and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ for those who have been saved by His Grace. (I Thessalonians 4; Revelation 20:11-15)

Heaven and Hell

We believe in the judgment and eternal condemnation of the lost in a literal hell; and the eternal residence of Christians in a literal Heaven. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15)

The Church

We believe the Body of Christ consists of all genuine born again believers. We believe the local church consists of a local body of believers gathered together and organized for the worship and service of Jesus Christ. Scriptures are the governing authority for the local body. We believe in the autonomy of the local church. (I Tim. 3:15; Eph. 1:23; Col. 1:24; I Cor. 3:11; Eph. 2:20; I Peter 2:4-6; Eph. 1:22: Rom. 7:4; Eph. 5:24; I Cor. 12:13)
